Creamy Nutmeg Pork Fillet with Onion

A simple and quick dish that my family loves. The meat is tender and not very fatty (provided the pork is lean). For this dish I take pork fillet without fat. Even my one-year-old daughter easily chews this meat stewed with sour cream.

Sour cream 200 g
Bay leaf to taste

Pork 500 g
Allspice to taste

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
We cut and beat the meat. I always put it in a plastic bag. This keeps the hammer and table around clean.

Step 2

Step 2
Cut the chopped meat into strips about 2cm wide and fry in a frying pan with sunflower oil. My family doesnʼt like deep-fried meat in this dish, but if you like crispy bits, fry until golden brown.

Step 3

Step 3
Cut the onion into half rings.

Step 4

Step 4
Add the onion to the meat and stir. Fry over medium heat until golden brown.

Step 5

Step 5
I take 27% sour cream, or maybe less fat.

Step 6

Step 6
Nutmeg is added to the meat and onions. I love this one, not the ready-made powder.

Step 7

Step 7
Salt and pepper the meat to taste. I add bay leaf, but itʼs not necessary!

Step 8

Step 8
Add sour cream to the meat and onions. Simmer covered for about 20 minutes. If you don’t like a watery sauce, you can simmer a little more until the liquid evaporates to the desired consistency.
