Soy-Baked Pork with Onion Rings

The sauce makes the meat very juicy. As much as I don’t like cooking anything with onions, this dish turned out simply excellent. The lemon-soy marinade with onion rings gives the pork such a unique sourish aromatic flavor that you won’t even understand what’s tastier — the meat or the sauce from it.

Ingredients (2 portions)

Basic:

Onion 2 pc
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Pork (on the bone) 500 g
Lemons (juice) 1 pc
Soy sauce 50 ml

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Prepare the ingredients.

Step 2

Step 2
Peel the onions and cut into rings.

Step 3

Step 3
In a deep bowl, combine onion rings, soy sauce with lemon juice, ground pepper and salt.

Step 4

Step 4
Mix. In this case, it is better to mash the onion a little with your hands so that it releases the juice. This will make the marinade more flavorful. Leave the onion to marinate for 30 minutes.

Step 5

Step 5
Place pork steaks in a bowl with onions. Mix everything thoroughly. Leave to marinate for another 40 minutes.

Step 6

Step 6
Place the steaks and onions on a foil-lined baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place a baking sheet and immediately reduce the heat to 180°C and bake the meat for about 30 minutes. I advise you to save a little soy marinade in a bowl (the liquid itself without the onions) and during the baking process, as the sauce evaporates from the baking sheet and from the surface of the meat, pour the remaining sauce over the pork. This will make the dish tastier and retain its juiciness.

Step 7
Pork on the bone with onions is ready. Its aroma and taste are extraordinary! Serve pork on the bone with any side dish. Bon appetit!
