Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make a cake from Dragon cupcakes? Prepare your food. Products for cupcakes should all be at the same room temperature. Remove the butter and eggs from the refrigerator in advance. I used alkalized cocoa, so itʼs darker, but regular cocoa will work. Turn the oven on 180 degrees.

Step 2

Step 2
Take a bowl and sift all the flour and cocoa into it. This is important to do to break up any lumps so that the dry products become more homogeneous. Add baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir everything together until smooth.

Step 3

Step 3
Beat soft butter with regular and vanilla sugar until fluffy with a mixer. Vanilla sugar can be replaced with vanillin. Read how to do this correctly in a separate article at the link after the recipe.

Step 4

Step 4
Continuing to beat, pour in the eggs one at a time. It will be more convenient to first beat them into a separate bowl. Beat butter and eggs until combined. The mass may separate, this is not a problem, the dough will become homogeneous after adding warm milk.

Step 5

Step 5
Next, start adding the dry mixture and milk alternately. It is important that the milk is noticeably warm. But not hot. First add a third of the dry ingredients and a third of the milk. Mix with a mixer at low speed. Then add another third of both, and finally the rest. As a result, you will get a homogeneous, fairly fluid dough.

Step 6

Step 6
Pour the mixture into a pastry bag — it will be more convenient to pour the dough into capsules from it. But you can also use a regular spoon. Take hard capsules for cupcakes that do not require an additional form. It is better to choose a dark color for the Dragon. Pour the dough into capsules, filling them 2/3 full.

Step 7

Step 7
Bake cupcakes in an oven preheated to 180°C for 20-25 minutes. The exact time will depend on the features of your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Check readiness with a toothpick. Cool the finished cupcakes completely.

Step 8

Step 8
While the cupcakes are baking, prepare the filling. Cherries are suitable both fresh and frozen. Take only seedless fruits. You don’t have to defrost the cherries first if you have frozen ones.

Step 9

Step 9
Place the cherries in a saucepan. Mix starch with sugar, pour the mixture into the cherries. Stir. Boil everything together over low heat until thickened.

Step 10

Step 10
Pour the filling into the bowl and cover with film in contact to prevent a crust from appearing on the surface. Cool the filling completely.

Step 11

Step 11
Before you start decorating, prepare the cream. For it, take cream with a fat content of at least 33%. The cheese is suitable like Cremette, Violetta. Use powdered sugar, not sugar — it simply won’t have time to dissolve in the cream. I make my own powder in a coffee grinder. The cream and cheese for the cream should be from the refrigerator.

Step 12

Step 12
Beat the cheese, cream and powder with a mixer until completely smooth. Then stir the cream again with a spatula. Place it in a bag fitted with a closed star attachment.

Step 13

Step 13
Using the back of a cookie cutter, cut out the center of the cupcakes. If you have very tall cupcakes, cut off the tops. Fill the center with cherry filling.

Step 14

Step 14
Place cupcakes in Dragon shape. Pipe frosting onto the top of each cupcake in a flat rose pattern. Fill the gaps between the cupcakes with frosting. Color the remaining white cream in different colors. Using different culinary attachments, plant it, imitating a Dragon.

Step 15

Step 15
Serve the cake to the table. Bon appetit!
