Basic:

Salt to taste
Sugar 1 cup
Wheat flour 300 g
Butter 150 g
Water 1 cup
Cocoa 4 tbsp
Eggs 2 pc
Beet 2 pc
Baking powder 1 tsp
Vanilla sugar 1 pack

To make this cake you will need 2 medium sized boiled beets. They need to be peeled and grated on a fine grater or chopped in a blender.

Beat butter at room temperature with sugar until the mixture becomes fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla sugar and beet puree to the mixture and mix thoroughly.

Combine flour, salt, baking powder and cocoa powder and sift. Add the dry ingredients to the butter-beet mixture and stir gently. At this stage the dough will be very thick and dense.

Now you need to pour a glass of boiling water into the dough. Add water in small portions, stirring the mixture constantly. The finished dough should have a consistency similar to thick sour cream.

Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil and pour the dough into it. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees. If desired, the cake can be topped with melted chocolate or whipped cream, but it is good without any additives.
