Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make pineapples in puff pastry in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. You can use puff pastry without yeast, like mine, as well as yeast or puff pastry with yeast. I have frozen ready-made dough, purchased in square plates. I needed one plate. The dough must first be defrosted on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. You can make your own homemade dough. You will find the recipes after the last step.

Step 2

Step 2
Turn the oven on 180 degrees. Remove the canned pineapples from the syrup and dry on paper towels. Pineapple rings come in different sizes. My rings are small in diameter. If you have large rings, you will need more dough for them.

Step 3

Step 3
Beat the egg with a fork until smooth. You will need it for greasing baked goods. How else you can grease baked goods before baking, see the corresponding article on this topic at the end of the recipe under the steps.

Step 4

Step 4
Roll out the defrosted puff pastry into a rectangle 2-3 mm thick and cut into long strips about 1.5 cm wide. The resulting strips should fit freely through the cut out center of the pineapple rings. The number of strips should be equal to the number of pineapple rings.

Step 5

Step 5
Wrap each pineapple ring tightly with a strip of dough. You can wrap it partially or completely — as long as the strip of dough is enough. Partial winding, through which the fruit is visible, turns out more beautiful.

Step 6

Step 6
Place the pineapples in the batter on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced apart. Brush the dough with beaten egg. Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180°C for 20-25 minutes and bake until the dough is golden brown. If you have the “top+bottom+convection” mode, the cooking time will be reduced to 10-15 minutes. Read more about how to choose the right baking time and temperature in the article. The link is at the end of the recipe.

Step 7

Step 7
Cool the finished pineapples in the dough slightly, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve. Bon appetit!
