Milk (For lubrication) 1 tbsp
Egg yolks (for lubrication) 1 pc
Poppy food (for sprinkling) 1 tbsp

How to bake apple puffs from puff pastry? Prepare the ingredients according to the list. Frozen puff pastry should be thawed. To do this, you need to remove it from the package and leave it for a few minutes at room temperature, then separate the plates from each other and leave for another 1-1.5 hours.

Take sweet and sour apples. Wash them well under running water. If you wish, you can peel the apples, I did not peel them. Cut in half, remove the core. Cut into thin slices.

In a small bowl, combine sugar and ground cinnamon. Instead of white sugar, you can use brown sugar; it will give the baked goods a caramel taste.

Roll out the defrosted dough into a circle with a diameter of 25 cm. To get a beautiful, even circle, I recommend cutting out a template of the required size from parchment, placing it on the rolled out dough and using a roller knife to cut the circle along the contour. Then cut the dough into 8 sectors. If you want the puff pastries to be larger, cut the dough into 6 pieces.

Place 3-4 apple slices on the wide edge of each dough piece. In the middle of the triangle, make three small cuts with a sharp knife (I cut everything with the same roller knife). Sprinkle the apples with the prepared mixture of sugar and cinnamon (about 0.5 teaspoon). Wrap the narrow end of the triangle around the wide side, tucking the corner under the bottom of the envelope.

Cover a baking sheet with parchment. Place the pieces at some distance from each other, cover with a towel and leave to proof in a warm place without drafts for 30 minutes. Then grease the workpieces with the mixture: 1 yolk + 1 tbsp. l milk, sprinkle poppy seeds on top. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 25-30 minutes. Determine the exact baking time and temperature based on your oven.

The finished puff pastries will increase slightly in size and acquire a pleasant golden hue. Remove the pan from the oven and cool the baked goods slightly.
