Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make beautiful sweet delicious yeast buns with sugar and cinnamon in the oven? Prepare and measure food. For yeast dough, they should be at room temperature. You need to sift the flour, this will make the baked goods more airy. I use dry instant yeast. For the filling I use brown cane sugar, it gives the baked goods a caramel taste. But you can take the regular one.

Step 2

Step 2
First make the dough. Heat the milk until it is warm, but not hot, otherwise the yeast — living organisms — may die. I heat it in a ladle on the stove, touching it with my finger, when the milk becomes pleasantly warm, I turn off the heat. I add yeast, sugar and salt to the heated milk and mix. I leave it for five minutes.

Step 3

Step 3
Next, add three tablespoons of flour to the milk and mix with a whisk. This is the future dough, it should be left in a warm place for about twenty minutes. Cover the bowl with a towel and place it away from drafts. In winter you can put it closer to the radiator, when there is no heating, I put it in the oven, turned off! While the dough is rising, you need to melt the butter. You can do it on the stove over low heat, or you can do it in the microwave.

Step 4

Step 4
This is how the right dough rises and bubbles. If this does not happen, then something is wrong with the yeast, take another one, otherwise the baking will not work.

Step 5

Step 5
Add melted butter to the dough. It shouldnʼt be hot! Stir. Now start adding flour to the dough in portions, stirring first with a spoon and then with your hand. Knead the dough well. Not all of the flour may go away. The dough should become homogeneous, soft and not sticky. If you add flour, the baked goods will be tough. I really enjoyed working with this dough; it kneaded quickly and became smooth.

Step 6

Step 6
Dust the dough with flour.

Step 7

Step 7
Cover with a towel and leave to rise in a warm place.

Step 8

Step 8
After an hour, the dough had doubled in size. Depending on the room temperature, the presence or absence of drafts (they should be avoided) and the activity of the yeast, the rise time may take a little less or a little more.

Step 9

Step 9
How to beautifully decorate buns made from yeast dough? On a floured board, roll out the dough into a large rectangle about five millimeters thick.

Step 10

Step 10
Melt the butter that goes into the filling and cool to room temperature. Brush the dough with it and sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar. Roll along the larger side of the rectangle.

Step 11

Step 11
Cut the roll into pieces. Do this with a very sharp knife so that the cuts do not stick together.

Step 12

Step 12
I decided to bake the buns in one form, you can put them on a baking sheet, it’s a matter of taste. The mold must be greased with oil. Use parchment paper on a baking sheet. Lay out the preparations, cover with a towel and let rest for about ten minutes. I made a little mistake at this step, I placed the buns too tightly in the mold, it is better if there is a distance between them, they will grow during baking.

Step 13

Step 13
Beat the egg and brush the top of the buns with it.

Step 14

Step 14
Bake for about half an hour in an oven preheated to 200 degrees until golden brown. Time and temperature are approximate, use your equipment as a guide. Beautiful buns made from yeast dough are ready. Bon appetit!
