Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make stuffed flatbreads in a frying pan? Letʼs start by preparing the dough. We will make unleavened dough, without yeast, using kefir. Pour warm kefir into a bowl; you can heat it in the microwave for a few seconds, or simply remove it from the refrigerator in advance.

Step 2

Step 2
Beat in a chicken egg, pour in a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil, add a pinch of salt and baking powder. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.

Step 3

Step 3
Pour in the sifted wheat flour, in parts, stirring the dough with a spoon each time. Then place the dough on a floured work surface. Knead elastic smooth dough.

Step 4

Step 4
Wrap it in cling film and let it rest on the counter for about 20 minutes.

Step 5

Step 5
In the meantime, prepare the filling. Flatbreads with fresh herbs and hard cheese are very tasty. Wash the dill, parsley, green onions, and basil thoroughly, dry with paper towels and finely chop with a knife. Put it in a bowl. Grate the hard cheese and place it in a bowl with herbs. Add a tablespoon of sour cream, salt and ground black pepper to taste, mix thoroughly.

Step 6

Step 6
Divide the dough into several pieces, depending on the size of the pan and the desired number of cakes. Roll each piece into a thin flat cake.

Step 7

Step 7
Place the filling in the center.

Step 8

Step 8
We fasten the edges of the cake to make a bag.

Step 9

Step 9
Roll again with a rolling pin to form a thin cake.

Step 10

Step 10
Pour vegetable oil into the frying pan. Letʼs warm it up. Fry each flatbread for 5-7 minutes over medium heat on each side until golden brown. To ensure that the dough is well baked inside, you can cover the frying pan with a lid and keep it on the fire for a few minutes.

Step 11

Step 11
The filled flatbreads are ready. We serve them hot to the table, with tea or coffee, or with fresh vegetables and herbs, with soup or other dishes. Bon appetit!
