Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make sesame buns in the oven? Prepare the dough. Heat the milk to a temperature of forty degrees. This can be done either in the microwave or in a saucepan on the stove. If you check with your hand, the milk should seem warm, that is, slightly above body temperature. Add sugar, add yeast and stir. Leave for ten minutes.

Step 2

Step 2
After the specified time, the dough should be ready in one hundred percent of cases. The yeast should begin to work, resulting in a fluffy cap with a pronounced yeast smell forming on the surface of the milk. If this does not happen, I strongly recommend choosing other, working yeast.

Step 3

Step 3
Sift the flour through a sieve into a bowl twice. To improve the quality of the dough, add salt.

Step 4

Step 4
Pour the dough into a bowl and stir the dough. While it’s convenient, I mix with a spoon, and then start kneading with my hands. You need to knead for at least ten minutes.

Step 5

Step 5
Cover the bowl with the dough with cling film and put it in a warm place for half an hour so that the dough rises. I do this. I put a glass of water in the microwave and heat it at maximum power for one minute. I remove the water and send a bowl of dough there. That is, the dough rises in a switched off microwave.

Step 6

Step 6
The dough should increase in volume. Roll into a smooth bar and cut it into six equal pieces with a knife.

Step 7

Step 7
Next, form the pieces into six even, slightly flattened buns on top. Simply fold the edges of the dough inside the ball and lightly roll the dough onto the table, giving it an even shape. Place the buns on a baking sheet greased or lined with baking paper. Cover and leave in a warm place for another ten minutes.

Step 8

Step 8
Mix egg yolk with milk. Prepare your pastry brush.

Step 9

Step 9
Brush the buns with yolk on all sides and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake the buns in an oven preheated to two hundred degrees for half an hour. Time and temperature are approximate, use your oven as a guide.
