Vegetable oil 250 g
Dry yeast (level teaspoon) 3 g

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to fry yeast donuts in a frying pan at home? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. First, make a dough. To do this, heat half the water (100 ml) in a saucepan to a temperature of 38-40 degrees. It should be warm, but not scalding. Pour the water into the bowl in which we will knead the dough, add the yeast, 1 tablespoon of sugar and 100 grams of sifted flour. Mix everything and leave the dough in a warm place for about 10-15 minutes.

Step 2

Step 2
During this time, a so-called “cap” should form.

Step 3

Step 3
Also heat the other half of the water, add salt and the remaining sugar. Stir everything until the salt and sugar crystals dissolve.

Step 4

Step 4
Melt the butter in a water bath or in the microwave. Pour water with salt and sugar and melted butter into the suitable dough.

Step 5

Step 5
Mix everything thoroughly.

Step 6

Step 6
Add half of the remaining flour that needs to be sifted. Thanks to this, the flour will be saturated with oxygen, and the finished donuts will be more tender and fluffy.

Step 7

Step 7
Start kneading the dough.

Step 8

Step 8
Add the remaining flour (also sifted) in parts in two or three additions, stirring thoroughly after each portion. The dough is considered ready as soon as it stops being sticky and begins to pull away from the sides of the bowl. You may need more or less flour, it all depends on its type and quality.

Step 9

Step 9
Place the dough on the work surface and knead it well. I kneaded for another 5 minutes. I didnʼt need any more flour.

Step 10

Step 10
Form the dough into a ball, place it in a dry bowl, cover with cling film and place in a warm place to rise. It took me 1.5 hours.

Step 11

Step 11
The dough should double in volume.

Step 12

Step 12
Divide the dough into pieces, the size of which will determine the size of the donuts. I got 7 medium pieces. Roll the pieces into even balls.

Step 13

Step 13
Use your fingers to make a hole in the center of each ball, forming donuts. I laid out the blanks on pieces of parchment greased with vegetable oil so that they would not wrinkle when immersed in deep fat. Let the workpieces come up. It took me 15 minutes.

Step 14

Step 14
Heat oil in a high-sided frying pan. I used a small frying pan. Place the pieces and fry them until browned. It took me 7 minutes per side over moderate heat. I don’t recommend using high heat, otherwise the donuts will quickly fry on the outside and remain raw on the inside. And if the fire is too low, they will get oily. Therefore, I advise you to turn the heat to moderate and fry the donuts at a low simmer.

Step 15

Step 15
Turn the donuts over to the other side and fry until done. I fried for 5 minutes. So fry all the preparations. Place the finished donuts on a paper towel to absorb excess oil. I sprinkled the baked goods with powdered sugar, but this is optional. Bon appetit!
