Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake a pie in the oven without milk? Prepare your food. Take the highest grade flour. Large, selected eggs are needed. Take 4 small ones. Berries can be taken fresh or frozen. I have frozen blackcurrants, but you can also use other berries (blueberries, cherries, strawberries), as well as fruits. Take refined, odorless vegetable oil. I have sunflower. You can replace vegetable oil with butter, after melting and cooling.

Step 2

Step 2
Turn the oven on 180 degrees. In a bowl, combine eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt. Beat with a mixer until fluffy and light in color. The airiness of your cake depends on how you beat the eggs. You can’t beat the mixture until it’s white and thick—the whites will lose the air bubbles that lift the dough. And in this case, even baking powder will not help. The dough will either not rise at all or rise very weakly.

Step 3

Step 3
Continuing to beat, pour in the vegetable oil.

Step 4

Step 4
Gradually add the sifted flour with baking powder. Thanks to sifting, the flour will be saturated with oxygen, and the finished cake will turn out more tender and fluffy. Beat the dough with a mixer at low speed or stir with a spatula. The dough should be viscous but fluid. Please note that you may need more or less flour depending on the quality of the flour itself and the size of the eggs. To better understand the intricacies of working with flour, read the article at the link at the end of the recipe.

Step 5

Step 5
Wash the currants and dry the berries. If the berries are frozen, there is no need to defrost them. Roll currants on all sides in starch.

Step 6

Step 6
Pour part of the dough into a silicone mold (Ø 18-20 cm). Spread half the blackcurrants on top. Place the remaining dough on top and distribute the remaining berries on top. Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 180℃ for about 30 minutes. Then cover the pan with foil and bake the pie for another 10-15 minutes. Step 7

Step 7
Cool the finished simple aspic sweet pie without milk with black currants in the mold. Then transfer to a plate, lightly sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve. Bon appetit!
