Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake fish with vegetables in foil in the oven? Prepare the ingredients according to the list. If necessary, defrost the fish in advance. Read about defrosting in the article at the end of this recipe. Wash and dry vegetables and herbs. Clean the fish, wash and dry. I cut off the head, but you can leave it — choose for yourself. I have a perch, but you can choose other fish of suitable sizes.

Step 2

Step 2
Cut the fish lengthwise, but not all the way, and unfold it. Salt and pepper the fish, sprinkle with spices inside and outside and refrigerate for 15 minutes.

Step 3

Step 3
Peel the vegetables. Cut the tomato and onion into slices. I donʼt peel the tomatoes so they donʼt lose their shape during baking.

Step 4

Step 4
Peel the garlic and cut into slices. Finely chop the greens.

Step 5

Step 5
Cut the peeled potatoes into thin slices.

Step 6

Step 6
Place a layer of onion on foil folded in two layers, and place the prepared fish on top. You can read more about using aluminum foil in a separate article. There is a link to it at the end of this recipe.

Step 7

Step 7
Place the chopped potatoes around.

Step 8

Step 8
Place tomato slices, garlic and bay leaves on top of the fish.

Step 9

Step 9
Salt and pepper the vegetables, sprinkle with chopped herbs.

Step 10

Step 10
Wrap the stuffed fish carefully in foil so that the juice does not leak out during baking. Place the fish and vegetables in an oven preheated to 200ºC for about 30-50 minutes. Determine the exact baking time and temperature based on your oven. Read about how ovens work by following the link in the article at the end of the recipe.
