Ingredients (2 portions)

Basic:

Onion 1 pc
Garlic 2 clove
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Water 100 ml
Green onions to taste
Vegetable oil 30 ml
Paprika 1 tsp
Cabbage 350 g
Chicken thighs 350 g

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Prepare the necessary products. You can use either a whole chicken carcass or any part of it: thighs, fillets, legs, drumsticks, etc. If you are preparing a dish from poultry, then it must be stewed in broth without adding cabbage for about 30 minutes — the meat of domestic chicken is tougher than that of broiler chicken.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash parts of the chicken carcass, cut out the veins and films from them, cut into portions: large or small — decide for yourself. Turn on the “Frying” mode on the multicooker display for 10 minutes. Pour vegetable oil into the bowl and add chicken slices. Fry for 4-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 3

Step 3
During this time, peel the onion. Rinse in water, cut in half. Cut each half of the vegetable into half rings and add them to the multicooker container with the fried chicken. Instead of onions, you can use shallots, leeks, etc.

Step 4

Step 4
Pour salt, ground black pepper, 0.5 tsp into the bowl. ground paprika. Leave half the volume of ground paprika for the cabbage. Be sure to taste the paprika before buying, if you buy it at the market, so that it does not taste bitter — the spice should be slightly sweet and aromatic. Fry everything until the remaining time is up — about 3-4 minutes, without covering the container with a lid and stirring its contents.

Step 5

Step 5
At this time, cut the white cabbage into two parts, remove the top leaves from the fork, and cut each of them into middle strips. It is not recommended to finely chop the cabbage, as when stewing, the chopped cabbage will turn into puree. To make the dish cook faster, you can crush the cabbage slices in a bowl or salad bowl with a little pressure so that they release their juice.

Step 6

Step 6
After the sound signal indicates the end of frying, pour 100 ml of broth or hot water into the multicooker bowl and press a couple of peeled garlic cloves. Switch to the “Stew” or “Vegetables” mode for 25 minutes. If the equipment does not provide such modes, then activate the “Soup” mode.

Step 7

Step 7
Place the chopped cabbage in a bowl, sprinkle with ground paprika. This spice can be replaced with tomato paste, but for those who do not like the sourish tomato taste in the dish, it is better not to change anything. Close the appliance with a lid, cook until the beep sounds, stir 1-2 times during cooking.

Step 8

Step 8
As soon as the multicooker beeps, carefully open the lid and release the resulting steam.

Step 9

Step 9
Place the finished dish on plates and let cool slightly. Chop the washed green onions or other greens and sprinkle on the served dish. Stewed cabbage with chicken in a slow cooker with sour cream or thick, thick yogurt without additives is especially tasty.
