Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Letʼs prepare all the ingredients for cooking fish in sour cream. Letʼs start the cooking process by cleaning the pike itself from scales and getting rid of the entrails by opening the belly of the fish. We will also get rid of the fins and cut them off using scissors.

Step 2

Step 2
We wash the cleaned carcass under running cold water, then use paper towels to get rid of excess moisture. We cut the whole fish into portioned pieces, then rub these pieces on all sides with salt and ground black pepper. Leave the fish to soak in the spices for 20 minutes.

Step 3

Step 3
Peel the onions and cut them into half rings. Fry it in a frying pan until light golden brown.

Step 4

Step 4
In another frying pan, fry the fish pieces on both sides. When the fish is fried, add onion to the frying pan.

Step 5

Step 5
Next, completely cover the fish pieces with sour cream. Bring the sour cream to a boil, remove the frying pan from the heat, transfer the fish to a baking dish and bake it in the oven at 180°C for 10-15 minutes, or turn the heat to minimum, cover the frying pan with a lid and continue to simmer the fish for 15 minutes.
