Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to cook oatmeal with berries in milk? Prepare your food. Take any flakes — both instant and long cooking will do. It depends on your preferences, I took the cooking time to 5 minutes. The fat content of milk can be any. The main thing is that the milk is tasty and natural. The berries are suitable both fresh and frozen — you don’t need to defrost them first. Their set can also be anything.

Step 2

Step 2
Pour the milk into a saucepan or pan suitable for cooking porridge — it is better if it has a thick bottom and is not enameled. Place the pan on the heat and bring to a boil over medium heat. Add sugar, salt and oatmeal and stir. Turn the heat to low and leave the porridge to simmer.

Step 3

Step 3
Stir it from time to time. If you have frozen berries, add them to the porridge after a couple of minutes of cooking. If fresh, then at the very end. I took strawberries, raspberries and blackberries, but in general, any seedless ones will do. If the berries themselves are sour, then increase the amount of sugar.

Step 4

Step 4
Cook the porridge over low heat until cooked — the flakes should become soft and the porridge itself should thicken. Follow the time indicated on the box of oatmeal. Donʼt forget to stir it. When the porridge is ready, turn off the heat and add butter.

Step 5

Step 5
Stir, cover the pan with a lid and let the porridge sit for 10 minutes — the oatmeal will additionally sweat and absorb the oil. Serve the porridge to the table. Bon appetit!
