Salt 0.5 tsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Cereals 1 cup
Butter 2 tbsp
Milk 3 cup

How to cook oatmeal with banana? Prepare your food. Any oatmeal will do, whether quick or long-cooked. Cereals that take longer to cook are much healthier and I prefer them. Take milk of any fat content, according to taste or availability. Instead of milk, you can use water in the same proportion — 1:3. Adjust the amount of sugar and salt to your taste. Please note that the porridge will contain sweet banana.

Take a suitable saucepan or pan for cooking porridge. It is better if they have a thick bottom, then the porridge will not burn. Add cereal, pour milk. Add salt and sugar.

Place the saucepan with the porridge over medium heat.

While the porridge is boiling, cut the banana into small pieces.

Meanwhile, the milk will boil, stir it so that the flakes do not stick to the bottom. There is a cooking option, when the milk is first brought to a boil, and only after that the cereal is added. This is usually done to check whether the milk will curdle during cooking. I am confident in myself, and I always cook porridge this way. Reduce heat and add chopped banana to the porridge.

Leave the porridge to cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes. Stir it from time to time.

When the porridge is ready, turn off the heat and add butter.

Cover the saucepan with a lid and leave the porridge to stand for 10 minutes. During this time it will steam and become even thicker.
