Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make oatmeal porridge in a slow cooker with milk? Prepare all the necessary ingredients to prepare oatmeal porridge. I prefer regular rolled oats because I find them healthier than instant oatmeal. But you can take it at your discretion.

Step 2

Step 2
Grease the bottom and sides of the multicooker bowl thoroughly with half the butter. But you can also lubricate it with regular vegetable oil if you prefer.

Step 3

Step 3
Pour rolled oats into the bowl.

Step 4

Step 4
Add sugar and salt to the rolled oats. You can take not only regular sugar, but also brown or cane varieties. It will give the porridge a subtle caramel aroma. It’s better to sweeten it to your taste later, once the porridge is cooked.

Step 5

Step 5
Pour milk into the bowl of rolled oatmeal and stir. Place the bowl in the multicooker and turn it on to the “Milk porridge” mode for 35 minutes.

Step 6

Step 6
Different multicooker manufacturers may have different mode inscriptions, so check your model and its instructions. My assistant has two cooking modes — “Oatmeal” and “Milk porridge”. In the “Oatmeal” mode, the porridge is cooked for 20 minutes and it turns out quite liquid. But in the “Milk porridge” mode it takes 35 minutes and it turns out thick, just the way I like it.

Step 7

Step 7
After the sound signal, turn off the heating, but leave it to stand for another 5-7 minutes so that the porridge is infused. But the cooking time depends on the power of your multicooker, so rely on yours.

Step 8

Step 8
Taste the porridge, place on plates and serve with butter. If desired, you can add dried fruits, raisins, nuts, chocolate or honey to the porridge.

Step 9

Step 9
Bon appetit.
