Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make buckwheat with chicken in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients. For this dish, you can use chicken drumsticks or other parts of chicken to taste. If the tomato paste is very salty, then use less of it so as not to oversalt the entire dish. Tomato paste can be replaced with ketchup. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees in advance.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the chicken drumsticks, dry them and place them in a suitable size container. Add pressed garlic, turmeric, oregano, paprika, salt and pepper to the chicken.

Step 3

Step 3
Mix everything thoroughly and leave to marinate for about 20 minutes.

Step 4

Step 4
Wash the carrots, peel and grate on a coarse grater.

Step 5

Step 5
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the carrots in it for about 3 minutes. If desired, you can add an onion. It needs to be finely chopped and fried in a frying pan along with carrots until transparent. Put the water to boil. To dilute the tomato paste (step 9), you will need half a liter of boiling water.

Step 6

Step 6
Add buckwheat to the carrots, stir and remove the pan from the heat.

Step 7

Step 7
Transfer the buckwheat and carrots to a baking dish and smooth out.

Step 8

Step 8
Place chicken drumsticks on top of the vegetables with buckwheat.

Step 9

Step 9
Dilute tomato paste in 500 ml of boiling water.

Step 10

Step 10
Pour the resulting mixture into the pan with the chicken.

Step 11

Step 11
Cover the pan tightly with foil. Bake buckwheat with chicken for about 40 minutes in an oven preheated to 180°C.

Step 12

Step 12
After the baking time has passed, all the excess water will be absorbed into the buckwheat, and you will end up with baked drumsticks on a bed of buckwheat and carrots. Bon appetit!
