Oven-Baked Honey Soy Chicken Wings

A delicious dinner and a great snack to go with beer! Cooking these chicken wings in honey sauce in the oven couldnʼt be easier. You will need a minimum of ingredients — the meat itself and products for the marinade. The composition of the latter can be changed to suit your taste.

Ingredients (3 portions)

Basic:

Chicken wings 600 g

Marinade:

Garlic 1 clove
Honey 30 g
White wine 25 ml
Starch 1 tbsp
Soy sauce 100 ml

How to marinate wings in honey-soy sauce? Prepare your ingredients. Wash the chicken wings and dry. Cut each wing into 3 parts. Set the narrowest part of the wings aside; it will not be needed. I managed to find already cut wings without tips.

Start preparing the marinade. To begin, finely chop the garlic with a knife or pass through a press.

In a separate bowl, mix soy sauce with white wine, honey and garlic. I donʼt add salt because soy sauce is already salty. You can remove or add spices or seasonings that you typically use to marinate chicken.

Transfer the chicken wings to a plate and sprinkle them with starch. Stir. The starch should be evenly distributed throughout the meat.

Prepare a baking dish of optimal size. I have it square, you can take a rectangular or oval one. Place the wings in the mold, trying to place them in even rows, tightly to each other.

Pour the marinade over the wings and leave to marinate directly in the pan for 15-20 minutes. During this time, you can preheat the oven to 200ºС (determine the exact temperature and time based on the features of your oven!). Place the pan with wings in the oven for 45 minutes. Check the dish during baking. If necessary, turn it the other way, stir, pour the sauce from the bottom over the top of the meat.
