Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make chicken in soy sauce in a frying pan? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. For this recipe, I used two legs with a total weight of 1 kilogram. You can take other parts of the chicken, such as thighs, or a small carcass of this weight. Wash the chicken in running water, dry and cut into pieces. I divided each leg into 3 parts with a knife: I cut off the drumstick and cut the thigh in half.

Step 2

Step 2
Place the chicken parts in a deep bowl and add a little salt. Peel the garlic, pass through a press and add to the chicken. Stir. You need to salt with the expectation that the meat will be marinated in soy sauce, which itself is salty. Instead of fresh garlic, you can use garlic powder and add it directly to the sauce.

Step 3

Step 3
We are preparing the dressing. Pour soy sauce and vegetable oil into a small deep container, add ginger powder and mix everything. If you are using garlic powder, be sure to add it here as well. I used classic soy sauce, without any flavoring additives, but next time I’ll try to experiment.

Step 4

Step 4
Pour the marinade over the meat, mix it well and put it in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours, you can leave it overnight and cook it in the morning. During marinating, the chicken pieces will need to be stirred several times.

Step 5

Step 5
Pour vegetable oil into the frying pan and heat it well. Place the marinated chicken pieces along with the sauce in which they were marinated. Fry the chicken over medium heat for 5 minutes on each side until golden brown. You can learn how to choose the right frying pan and oil for frying from articles on this topic; a link to them is at the end of this recipe.

Step 6

Step 6
Cover the pan with a lid and simmer the meat for about 30 minutes over low heat until cooked through. I stewed the chicken in its own juice and did not add any more oil or water; if the liquid evaporates before the chicken is cooked, add a little more water or oil before. Serve the finished chicken pieces in soy sauce with garlic with your favorite side dish and vegetables. Bon appetit!
