Creamy Garlic Chicken with Carrots

A complete dish for a family dinner with any side dish! Chicken pieces with garlic and carrots stewed in sour cream can be made for meeting friends or for a family celebration. The chicken meat turns out to be very soft and aromatic; both children and adults love this chicken.

Basic:

Garlic 6 clove
Salt to taste
Milk 0.5 cup
Sour cream 40 g
Carrot 0.5 pc
Dry spices to taste

How to make chicken pieces with garlic and carrots stewed in sour cream? Take a whole chicken or parts of it, you will still need to cut the chicken into portions. Add sour cream, sunflower oil, garlic, carrots, spices and salt to the ingredients.

Prepare the chicken and cut into portions. Rub it with salt and pepper or chicken spices.

In very hot oil, quickly fry the chicken pieces on all sides, turning while frying. The chicken doesnʼt have to be cooked through, itʼs just important to brown the surface, sealing in the meat juices.

Peel the garlic and cut into large petals.

Also cut the carrots into large strips.

Remove the chicken from the pan onto a plate, and fry the garlic and carrots in the same oil and the fat rendered from the chicken. A very strong garlic aroma will immediately spread.

Add sour cream and milk to the vegetables (this was in the original recipe, but I don’t recommend adding milk — it will curdle, it’s better to just use water if the sour cream is too thick).

Boil the resulting sauce a little, pepper and salt to taste.

Now dip the pieces of fried chicken into the sour cream and garlic sauce and cover with a lid. Simmer for about half an hour until tender over low heat.

Stewed chicken with garlic in a frying pan in sour cream is ready, serve it hot with any side dish and herbs.
