Meatballs:

Pork 400 g
Rice 1 cup
Water 2 cup
Onion 150 g
Eggs 2 pc
Parsley 10 g
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Vegetable oil 1 tsp
Basil 1 g

Sauce:

Water 700 ml
Tomato paste 1 tbsp
Sour cream 250 g

Today we are preparing delicious low-calorie classic meatballs in the oven with rice)) Prepare the ingredients. Sour cream can be replaced with cream, choose meat to your taste. I have lean pork.

First of all, rinse the rice well in several waters, add 1:2 water and set to cook. 10 minutes after boiling will be enough.

Now get to the minced meat. You can grind the meat in a meat grinder, or you can, like I did, in a food processor with a “Metal knife” attachment. Cut the onion into pieces, cut the meat into small pieces, add a couple of sprigs of parsley and I added a sprig of fresh purple basil, if you don’t want, don’t add herbs — and chop everything together.

Now in a bowl combine the minced meat, boiled rice, two eggs, salt and pepper to taste, I also added ground bay leaf.

Knead the minced meat well and set aside for 10-15 minutes so that all the flavors combine). Meanwhile, turn the oven to 180 degrees and let it warm up.

Take the form in which you will bake the meatballs, lightly grease with vegetable oil. With your hands soaked in water, form balls and place tightly.

Prepare the sauce. Mix tomato paste, sour cream and water.

Pour the resulting sauce over the meatballs and place in the oven on a medium level. Time 30-40 minutes, check your ovens. There is no need to cover the form with anything. When the meatballs are ready, leave them in the turned off oven for another 5-7 minutes.
