Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make classic drachena in the oven with eggs? Prepare your food. Take eggs of the first category. Milk and sour cream — any fat content, the main thing is that they are natural and of high quality. Immediately turn on the oven to preheat at 170°C.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the eggs well and dry. Carefully separate them into yolks and whites. Not a single drop of yolk should get into the whites, otherwise the whites will not whip up in the future.

Step 3

Step 3
Pour milk into the yolks, add sour cream and flour. Add salt to taste.

Step 4

Step 4
Mix the yolks with the added products using a whisk. You should get a homogeneous mass without lumps.

Step 5

Step 5
Beat the egg whites with a mixer until they form strong peaks — after turning off the beaters will leave a visible mark and it will not disappear. Read about how to properly beat egg whites in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe.

Step 6

Step 6
Add the whipped whites to the yolk mixture in portions, stirring very carefully with a whisk. You should not stir the whites intensively, otherwise they may lose their airiness and the finished dish will not be so fluffy.

Step 7

Step 7
The result should be a homogeneous air mass.

Step 8

Step 8
Take a baking dish suitable for baking in the oven. Grease it well with softened butter. For information on how to choose the right shape, read the article at the link at the end of the recipe.

Step 9

Step 9
Pour the egg mixture into the mold. I got two shapes, one measuring 23*14cm, the other smaller.

Step 10

Step 10
Bake the drachena in the oven at 170 degrees for 30-35 minutes. The exact time will depend on your oven and pan size. The drachena should be well browned on top. It will rise a lot during baking and then fall down. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

Step 11

Step 11
Serve the egg stew to the table. You can pour butter on top. Bon appetit!
