Honey Walnut Sour Cream Cookie Rolls

A delicious and proven recipe for delicious baked goods! The honey walnut filling is one of my favorites. I also remember how, as a child, my mother prepared such cookies, and I helped her. Therefore, I want to share the recipe with you.

Ingredients (6 portions)

For the test::

Wheat flour 300 g
Sour cream 50 g
Eggs 1 pc
Butter 50 g
Sugar 100 g
Soda 1 g

For filling::

Vanillin 1 g
Walnuts 250 g
Honey 3 tbsp

To prepare the dough, combine sour cream with sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.

Stir in one egg, baking soda and vanilla.

Stir melted butter and sifted flour into the dough. Knead the dough so that it does not stick to your hands. Add a little more flour if necessary.

For the filling, take walnuts and chop them in a way convenient for you. You can chop it with a chopper, or you can, like I did, with a sharp knife.

Add a little liquid honey to the chopped nuts.

Mix everything well. There is no need to add extra honey. It is only enough for all the nuts to come together due to the stickiness of the honey. Otherwise, it will leak out during baking.

Cookies of various shapes can be formed from the finished dough. You can roll it out into a layer, lay out the filling, roll it into a roll and cut it into cookies. You can cut out circles or squares, put a little filling in the center, and pinch the edges at the top. Or you can roll it out into a circle like mine, cut it into segments and put a little filling on each of them.

Then roll into rolls and place on a baking tray. Place the cookies in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
