Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make sandwiches with sprats, mayonnaise and garlic on a loaf? Very simple and fast. To begin, prepare all the necessary ingredients according to the list. Instead of a regular loaf, you can use a wheat baguette or rye bread. It is better to buy sliced bread. This way you will save yourself time. In addition, equally cut even slices look more beautiful on the table. You can supplement or replace tomatoes with other vegetables.

Step 2

Step 2
Remove the sprats from the jar and shake off the oil. If you want to make the dish even cheaper, you can use store-bought sprat pate instead of whole sprats.

Step 3

Step 3
Wash the tomatoes, dry and cut into slices or slices. Choose tomatoes that are juicy but firm. Soft fruits do not hold their shape well; during cutting and cooking, they will spread into a shapeless mass and spoil the appearance of the dish.

Step 4

Step 4
Wash the dill and parsley, dry and finely chop. If you wish, you can replace or supplement with other herbs, such as cilantro, green onions, or use a mixture of different herbs.

Step 5

Step 5
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, pressed garlic and chopped herbs. Mix everything. I crushed some of the greens beforehand so that they released the juice and the mayonnaise turned a beautiful pale green color.

Step 6

Step 6
Coat slices of white bread with mayonnaise with garlic and herbs. If desired, you can pre-dry the bread in a toaster or in a dry frying pan. But in this case, the bread will definitely need to be cooled to room temperature, otherwise the mayonnaise will float on warm bread.

Step 7

Step 7
Place 1-2 tomato slices on top.

Step 8

Step 8
Place 2 smoked sprats on top. Serve the sandwiches to the table, garnished with fresh herbs. Bon appetit!
