Hearty Beef and Bean Stew

Ingredients (4 portions)

Basic:

Garlic 1 clove
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Wheat flour (optional) 1 tbsp
Water (hot) 0.3 l
Parsley to taste
Beef 400 g
Carrot 70 g
Bulb onions 50 g
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
Hot pepper to taste
Soda 0.5 tsp
White beans (you can use any other) 250 g

How to stew beef and beans? Prepare the necessary products.

Rinse the beans. Place in a pan filled with clean water and put on fire, adding a pinch of baking soda. This manipulation will help reduce the cooking time of legumes to 25-30 minutes. When ready, drain the water.

Wash the beef, dry it with a paper towel, otherwise excess moisture will not allow the meat to fry — it will stew. Cut the beef into slices. Heat a frying pan, add vegetable oil. Add the beef and fry, stirring, until golden brown. Peel the carrots and cut into large pieces.

Peel the onion and cut into half rings.

Add onions and carrots to the fried meat.

When the vegetables become soft add hot water. Cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 40-50 minutes, adding water periodically as needed.

When the meat becomes soft, add hot pepper, garlic, salt and ground black pepper. To prevent the gravy from being too thin, thicken it with flour. To do this, dilute the flour in a small container with a small amount of cold water and pour into the meat.

Add boiled beans. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes.

Finely chop the greens. Pour into the pan and turn off the heat. It is better to remove hot peppers and garlic from the finished dish.
