Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make stewed cabbage in a pressure cooker? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Remove the top few leaves from the head of cabbage; we won’t need them. They usually accumulate dust and dirt. Peel the onions and carrots, rinse them in running water to remove any dirt, and dry them.

Step 2

Step 2
Chop the peeled onions and carrots. Cut the onion into small cubes and grate the carrots on a coarse grater. If desired, you can change the cutting method.

Step 3

Step 3
Pour some vegetable oil into the pressure cooker bowl and turn on the “fry” mode for 10 minutes. Wait for the bowl to warm up. Then place the chopped vegetables — onions and carrots — into the bowl. Fry the vegetables, stirring occasionally.

Step 4

Step 4
At this time, start shredding the cabbage. If you want the finished dish to be very soft, then try to chop the cabbage as finely as possible. I like to use fresh, young cabbage.

Step 5

Step 5
Add shredded cabbage to the fried vegetables and switch from the “frying” mode to the “stewing” mode. And set the cooking time to 40 minutes. The times indicated are approximate; be guided by the operating characteristics of your equipment. Add a little salt and spices to the bowl to taste. I used a little paprika for spices. If desired, you can add a little tomato paste to the stewed cabbage. You can stir the cabbage during cooking.

Step 6
Place the finished fresh cabbage in a pressure cooker on plates and help yourself. This dish can be used as an independent dietary dish, or as a side dish for meat dishes. Bon appetit! Help yourself!
