Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to knead dough for homemade manti without eggs in cold water? Itʼs not difficult at all. Prepare the necessary products.

Step 2

Step 2
Dissolve salt in a container with cold water and add vegetable oil. Mix thoroughly. Pour into a mixing bowl.

Step 3

Step 3
Sift the flour onto a table or rolling board, in my case a silicone mat. This will saturate the flour with oxygen and the dough will be manageable. Read about the properties of flour in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe.

Step 4

Step 4
In a bowl with water, salt and vegetable oil, start adding flour in small portions. Knead the dough first in a bowl, and then move to the table. Depending on the properties of the flour, you may need a little more or a little less.

Step 5

Step 5
Knead the dough for at least 15 minutes. Then cover it with a clean, dry towel and leave to “rest” for 30 minutes.

Step 6

Step 6
Dust the rolling surface with flour. Lay out the dough. I divided the dough into 8 parts. I find it more convenient to roll out small sheets.

Step 7

Step 7
Form a piece of dough into a flat cake and use a long rolling pin to roll it out.

Step 8

Step 8
When rolling, wrap the sheet of dough around the rolling pin not very tightly and roll, slightly stretching the dough. If necessary, you can dust it with additional flour.

Step 9

Step 9
The layer should be thin, but at the same time it should not tear during modeling and cooking.

Step 10

Step 10
Cut first into strips, then into squares. You can start sculpting manti.

Step 11

Step 11
In everyday life, I don’t roll out the dough so thin. I usually resort to this technique when preparing ritual dinners — Muslim feasts. We call them Koran Ash. They are held on serious occasions: the birth of a child, engagement and commemoration of deceased loved ones. And also in good spirits. At such events, women need to show their skills!
