Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to knead yeast dough with raw yeast and milk? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Yeast is usually sold in briquettes of 100 grams. Cut off the required amount of yeast and break it into small pieces. Sift premium or first grade flour through a sieve a couple of times to saturate it with oxygen. Thanks to this, the finished products from such dough will be very airy. The milk must be heated until warm.

Step 2

Step 2
Make a dough. To do this, pour some warm milk into a small bowl and add yeast. Then add sugar. Please note that the milk should be warm, but not scalding. In hot milk the yeast will die, but in cold milk it will not activate.

Step 3

Step 3
Add a couple of tablespoons of flour from the total amount.

Step 4

Step 4
Mix everything and leave to stand for 10-15 minutes. The yeast will dissolve well in the dough and the fermentation process will begin. You will see this by the bubbles that appear.

Step 5

Step 5
Melt the butter in the microwave or in a water bath. Read how to do this correctly at the end of the recipe.

Step 6

Step 6
Pour the finished dough into the bowl in which you will knead the dough. Add the remaining warm milk, eggs and cooled melted butter.

Step 7

Step 7
Start kneading the dough and gradually add flour. Kneading can be done with a spoon, hands or a mixer using a special dough hook attachment.

Step 8

Step 8
Gradually the dough will become thicker.

Step 9

Step 9
Knead the dough until it almost stops sticking to your hands. The amount of flour in the recipe is approximate. It may take a little more or less. Be guided by the consistency of the finished dough. Place the dough in a warm place and cover with a towel. Leave it to approach for 1-1.5 hours.

Step 10

Step 10
The dough is very soft and airy, so it rises quite quickly. But it does not tolerate drafts. So when working with yeast dough, all windows in the kitchen should be closed.

Step 11

Step 11
This dough can be used to make pies with any filling. Bon appetit!
