Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Butter 50 g
Sunflower oil 2 tbsp
Veal (2 steaks) 600 g
Thyme, thyme 5 g

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and packaging in advance and let them warm up. Salt and pepper on both sides.

Step 2

Step 2
Heat the pan until smoking, add 1 tbsp. sunflower oil and place the steaks in the pan.

Step 3

Step 3
Fry for a minute on each side.

Step 4

Step 4
If there is a fatty edge (like a ribeye steak, for example), place the steaks on their sides and lean them against the wall of the pan.

Step 5

Step 5
Hold at an angle and let the fat melt out.

Step 6

Step 6
Continue cooking for a minute on each side, turning each time. Add crushed garlic and thyme.

Step 7

Step 7
Add butter and another spoonful of sunflower oil. Pour the juice over the steaks and fry until desired doneness. Soft — with blood, harder — medium-done, and well elastic — well-done. If the meat is hard, the steak is overcooked, you can send it for goulash (if that happens).

Step 8

Step 8
Place the steaks to rest on a board and then cut into slices.
