Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to poach an egg in the microwave? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Of course, it is better to take homemade eggs, preferably larger ones. Before use, check the egg for freshness: place the egg in a container of water at room temperature — a fresh egg will sink to the bottom, and a stale egg will rise to the top. Any 6-9% vinegar will do: apple vinegar, grape vinegar, or regular vinegar without additives will do.

Step 2

Step 2
We will need ordinary water, preferably filtered, because... We will cook the egg without the shell directly in this water, so tap water will not work. Pour water into a microwave-safe container (such containers should never contain metal parts or designs with glitter — they will spark). Also, the dishes should be deep enough. Add vinegar to the water and stir.

Step 3

Step 3
Stir with a spoon or fork or something else in a circle. Quite quickly, trying to create something like a whirlpool in the center — a funnel.

Step 4

Step 4
Wash the egg very well in running water and soda, it is best to even use a special brush, since there may be harmful bacteria on the surface of the egg. Gently beat in the egg, making sure to keep the yolk intact.

Step 5

Step 5
Put it in the microwave. Approximate cooking time: for a power of 1000 and above — 40 seconds will be enough, 800 — 1 minute, 600 — 1.5 minutes. I advise you to experiment with your appliance, since despite the simplicity of this recipe, the cooking time of the dish depends on both the specific model of the microwave and the number of cups (foods) in it. If the process goes too quickly, the egg may “explode” and the microwave will have to be washed.

Step 6

Step 6
This is what a finished egg looks like after the microwave. Be careful not to burn your hands when removing the dishes from the microwave — they can be very hot! Our poached egg in the microwave in water is ready.

Step 7

Step 7
Place the egg on a serving plate and only now add salt to taste.

Step 8

Step 8
Serve the poached egg made in the microwave with vinegar with fresh vegetables and herbs. It would also be very appropriate to add such an egg to a vegetable salad, thus decorating it. Or place it on top of a meat steak or a slice of bread. Bon appetit!
