So homemade, so crumbly, so delicious! Many people are familiar with simple cottage cheese cookies from childhood. This is exactly how our mothers and grandmothers baked it. The ingredients used are the most common and affordable ones, and even a beginner in cooking can handle the cooking. You donʼt need molds to shape the baked goods — a glass is enough.

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make simple cottage cheese cookies in the oven at home? Prepare your food. Take cottage cheese that is soft, homogeneous, grainy and will remain in lumps in the dough. Fat content is not important here, just keep in mind that the calorie content of the dish will depend on it. Also pay attention to the quality of the cottage cheese — choose a natural and tasty product. The same applies to butter.

Step 2

Step 2
First of all, melt the butter. Either way, I heated it in the microwave. Cool the melted butter.

Step 3

Step 3
Take a bowl, put cottage cheese in it, pour in oil. Beat in the egg. I also added a pinch of salt to balance the taste of the dough.

Step 4

Step 4
Using a fork, stir the ingredients until smooth.

Step 5

Step 5
Mix flour with baking powder. Sift the resulting mixture into the curd mass. I recommend sifting 2/3 of the total quantity first. Then knead the dough and then decide whether to add more flour or not.

Step 6

Step 6
The dough should be soft, do not make it hard. I still have some of the flour left, about a third.

Step 7

Step 7
Wrap the dough in a bag or cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 8

Step 8
Then roll it into a thin layer, no more than 5 mm thick. The dough turned out to be practically non-sticky; I hardly added any flour when rolling it out.

Step 9

Step 9
Cut out circles from the dough in a suitable shape, I took a glass.

Step 10

Step 10
Form the cookies — first sprinkle the circle with sugar. Then fold it in half, sugar inside. Dip one side in sugar; for this it will be more convenient to pour it into a bowl or saucer. Fold the dough again, with the sugar inside. And dip one side into sugar again. Make cookies from all the dough this way. Collect the scraps again into a ball and roll out the same as at the beginning.

Step 11

Step 11
Line a baking tray with baking paper. Place homemade cookies on it, sugar side up. Leave space between them as the cookies will grow during baking.

Step 12

Step 12
Bake the cookies in an oven preheated to 200°C for about 20 minutes. The exact time will depend on the features of your oven. Focus on the appearance of the cookies — they should be browned. Remove the finished cookies from the oven, cool and serve.

Step 13

Step 13
Simple and delicious cookies are ready in a hurry. Bon appetit!
