Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to stew chicken with vegetables in a slow cooker? Prepare all the products that are listed. For this recipe, you can use a whole chicken or individual parts. This time I used chicken legs. If you have a frozen bird, you must first remove it from the freezer and defrost it at room temperature. To make the finished dish look bright and beautiful, take peppers of different colors.

Step 2

Step 2
Peel the onions, carrots and garlic (if using). Cut the bell peppers in half, remove the core, seeds and stem attachment points. Rinse all vegetables under running cold water.

Step 3

Step 3
Cut the carrots and peppers into cubes of the same size. The cutting method can be absolutely any at your discretion. For convenience, you can use a vegetable cutter.

Step 4

Step 4
Place the vegetables in a deep, suitable-sized bowl. Cut the onions and tomatoes into cubes and add them to the rest of the vegetables.

Step 5

Step 5
Mix everything well. Add salt, ground pepper and your favorite spices. Mix everything again.

Step 6

Step 6
Place the vegetables in the multicooker bowl. Form a kind of pillow.

Step 7

Step 7
Remove the skin from the legs. The chicken can be cooked as is, but I prefer to remove the skin. Rinse the meat under running water and cut into small portions.

Step 8

Step 8
Place the next layer of meat in the slow cooker. Lightly salt everything and sprinkle with spices again. Cut the garlic into large pieces and place between the meat. I also added a few cherry tomatoes and a couple of sprigs of fresh thyme and oregano to the legs. Pour water into the multicooker. How much water should I use? You can pour in a quarter cup or a little more, depending on what consistency you want the finished dish to be.

Step 9

Step 9
I took half a glass of water. Cover the multicooker with a lid, set the “Stew” mode and leave until the beep sounds. Cooking time usually takes from 30 to 60 minutes depending on the multicooker model.

Step 10

Step 10
Stir the finished dish, taste for salt, and add salt if necessary. Garnish the chicken with vegetables with fresh herbs and serve!
