How to bake dumplings in the oven with mayonnaise and milk? Prepare your food. You can take both homemade and store-bought dumplings. It is better if they are frozen — then the dough will not soften too much. Milk of any fat content is suitable, you can even take a mixture of milk and water.

Immediately turn on the oven to preheat, set the temperature to 200°C. The entire preparation process will take very little time; the oven will have time to warm up. Take a baking dish of suitable size. Place dumplings in it. Depending on their number and the size of the mold, make one or more rows.

Fill the dumplings with milk until it reaches about halfway. I used less milk than the recipe indicated because the dumplings were in one row.

Brush the top of the dumplings with mayonnaise. Salt and pepper them.

Grate the cheese on a medium grater. Any cheese is suitable for this dish — hard, semi-hard, soft, such as mozzarella. The main thing is that it is tasty, of high quality, without milk fat substitutes and melts well.

Sprinkle the dish with grated cheese.

Cover the top of the pan with a piece of foil. Place the dish to bake in a preheated oven. After 20 minutes, take it out, but do not turn off the heat. Remove the foil and return the pan to the oven.

Bake the dumplings for another 10-15 minutes, the liquid should almost all evaporate and a golden brown crust should form on top. Remove the pan from the oven.

Serve the baked dumplings, cut into portions like a piece of casserole. Sour cream, mayonnaise or ketchup go well with them. Bon appetit!
