Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make a salad of pears and cheese? Prepare all the necessary products according to the list. Visually divide all the ingredients into two parts, since we will repeat the layers in the salad twice.

Step 2

Step 2
Rinse the arugula in cold water and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess water. Spread the leaves in a thin layer on a flat dish.

Step 3

Step 3
Peel the onion, rinse and cut into thin feathers or half rings. What is the best onion to use? Softer varieties of onions such as red, shallot or white are well suited for this salad. Send to arugula.

Step 4

Step 4
Wash the pear, cut in half. Remove the core and seeds. Cut the fruit into thin slices and add the next layer to the salad. Sprinkle the juice of freshly squeezed lemon over the pears; this will prevent the pieces from darkening and maintain their appetizing appearance.

Step 5

Step 5
Place the next layer of blue cheese on the pear, chopped or crushed by hand into small pieces.

Step 6

Step 6
Heat a dry frying pan and fry the pine nuts. Donʼt forget to stir, otherwise the nuts will burn. Usually, a few seconds over high heat are enough to bring the kernels to the desired level of readiness.

Step 7

Step 7
Sprinkle half of the nuts over the salad.

Step 8

Step 8
Next, repeat all the layers again. Place arugula, then onion, pear (sprinkle with lemon juice), cheese and nuts.

Step 9

Step 9
Salt the salad as needed. I usually don’t do this, I just need cheese and lemon in my salad. Drizzle the salad with a little olive oil.

Step 10

Step 10
Pepper to taste. I used allspice and red ground pepper.

Step 11

Step 11
Mix the salad in your plate and enjoy the unusual taste!
