Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make pasta with minced meat and bell pepper? Prepare your food. Pasta can be used in any shape, the main criterion is its quality. Choose pasta made from durum wheat; they are tastier, healthier and don’t get overcooked. You can also use any minced meat, I used beef. It can be either purchased or homemade.

Step 2

Step 2
Peel the onion and cut into small cubes.

Step 3

Step 3
Wash the bell pepper, cut it, remove the center with seeds. Cut the pulp into medium strips.

Step 4

Step 4
Heat a deep frying pan over medium heat. Pour vegetable oil onto it. Add onion. Fry it over low heat for 5 minutes until translucent, stirring occasionally.

Step 5

Step 5
Place the minced meat in the pan with the onions. At the same time, put a pot of clean cold water on the fire to cook the pasta. There should be a lot of it — for every 100 grams of pasta, 1 liter of water. Fry the minced meat, stirring and breaking up any large lumps, until the color changes, about 10 minutes. Salt and pepper it to taste. You can also add any spices.

Step 6

Step 6
Add bell pepper to the minced meat. Stir and continue frying the minced meat for a few more minutes. Salt the boiling water and add pasta to it. Be sure to stir them so the pasta doesnʼt stick to the bottom. Cook the pasta according to the time indicated on the package. The main thing is not to overcook it, but leave it slightly firm, al dente.

Step 7

Step 7
Add tomato paste to the minced meat. You can use tomato sauce instead. I have pureed tomato pulp. You will need a little more of these than pastes. Stir, reduce heat, cover the pan with a lid. Simmer the minced meat and pepper for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. If it starts to burn, add a little hot water.

Step 8

Step 8
Place the finished pasta in a colander. Then throw them into the frying pan with the minced meat. Stir and heat everything together over low heat with a lid.

Step 9

Step 9
Serve pasta with minced meat and bell pepper to the table. Bon appetit!
