How to make a salad with saury and egg? Prepare your food. It is better to take natural saury, without adding oil, since the salad will be seasoned with mayonnaise. It is advisable to take home-made eggs, or at least from the outside — they are not only large, but most often have a bright orange yolk. By the way, you can use ready-made rice, for example yesterday’s rice left over from dinner. Choose short grain rice — it is softer.

Peel the onion and cut into small cubes.

Pour boiling water over the chopped onion and leave for 10 minutes, then drain the water. This will make the onion less hot.

Open the canned fish and drain the liquid. Remove the bones from the fish, then mash it with a fork. Other canned fish, such as pink salmon, can also be suitable for this salad.

Add steamed onions to the fish.

Boil the rice. How to cook rice? Rinse the rice well, add cold water in a ratio of 1 to 2 — two cups of water per cup of rice. Salt the water, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer with the lid closed for 20 minutes. Then turn off the heat and let the rice sit for about 15 minutes. It is better to boil the rice and cool it in advance.

Add the completely cooled rice to the remaining ingredients.

Boil the eggs hard. Cool, peel and cut into small cubes. Add to salad.

Mix all ingredients. Add salt if necessary: keep in mind that fish and mayonnaise already contain salt.

Season the salad with mayonnaise. I recommend using homemade mayonnaise. It is more natural and tastier. You can replace mayonnaise with sour cream or a mixture of sour cream and natural yogurt.
