Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make a salad from Chinese cabbage, bell peppers and tomatoes? Prepare your food. Choose a fork that is as small as possible, and if it is large, then use the upper green parts of the leaves — they are tastier. Instead of regular tomatoes, you can use a few cherry tomatoes. Any greens you like or have on hand will do. Take pitted olives.

Step 2

Step 2
Remove the top leaves from the cabbage. Cut the required amount either directly from the head of cabbage, or by tearing off a few leaves. You can cut the cabbage arbitrarily — like me, into strips or squares. You can also tear the cabbage with your hands, as you usually do with salad.

Step 3

Step 3
Wash and dry the peppers. Cut it open and remove the core with the seeds. Cut the pepper into strips. Or other pieces, as you prefer. I took yellow pepper, but any color will do — red, green.

Step 4

Step 4
Wash the tomatoes and cut into small pieces. Simply cut the cherry tomatoes in half.

Step 5

Step 5
Remove the olives from the brine and dry a little. Cut each olive in half. If you have pitted olives, remove them by crushing each olive with the bottom of a glass.

Step 6

Step 6
Wash the greens thoroughly and dry. Remove leaves from rough stems. Chop them finely with a sharp knife.

Step 7

Step 7
Prepare salad dressing. How to make a dressing? Pour olive oil into a small bowl. Instead of olive oil, you can use any vegetable you like. Pour in a little lemon juice. I advise you to add it with caution — lemons come in different acids, and not everyone likes very sour dressings. Add salt and pepper. Stir the dressing with a spoon and taste, adding missing ingredients if necessary.

Step 8

Step 8
Take a plate and place cabbage on the bottom. Top with chopped bell peppers, tomatoes, olives and herbs. Pour the dressing over the salad and serve immediately. After standing, such a salad can yield too much juice. Therefore, if you prepare such a salad in advance, then season it immediately before serving. Bon appetit!
