How to make Generalʼs classic salad with chicken? To begin, prepare all the necessary ingredients according to the list. You can use beets not only boiled, but also baked in the oven. Stores sell ready-boiled beets in vacuum packaging. Using store-bought beets will save you cooking time.

Wash the chicken fillet and boil in boiling salted water until tender, about 20 minutes. Then cool the chicken and cut into small cubes. Instead of boiled chicken, you can fry the fillet in a frying pan or bake it in the oven in foil. You can use smoked chicken instead of fresh chicken.

Boil the beets in their skins until tender. Grate on a coarse or medium grater.

Hard boil the eggs, cool and peel. Also grate. If you wish, you can separate the yolks and whites and grate them separately, forming two layers instead of one.

Place the chicken and press down. Pour mayonnaise on top. I put the mayonnaise into a piping bag and cut off the tip. Itʼs more convenient than using a spoon.
