Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to steam turkey fillet in a slow cooker? Prepare your food. Any turkey fillet will do — breasts or thighs. Choose chilled meat — it will be juicier. The set of vegetables can be anything. I have cauliflower, zucchini, carrots and tomatoes. Both fresh and frozen vegetables will work. They do not need to be defrosted first.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the meat, dry it and cut it into small pieces across the grain — this will make it softer. Salt and season the turkey with spices. I use ground black pepper and curry. You take spices according to your taste.

Step 3

Step 3
Peel the carrots and cut into slices about half a centimeter thick.

Step 4

Step 4
Also cut the zucchini into circles or halves of circles, depending on the size. For steaming, it is better to take young zucchini — they will turn out tastier. If you have a ripe fruit, then peel it and remove seeds. Young zucchini does not need to be peeled.

Step 5

Step 5
Cut the tomatoes into large slices.

Step 6

Step 6
Take a steaming basket. Place turkey pieces on the very bottom. Place chopped vegetables, including frozen ones, on top of it. Salt them. Pour clean water into the multicooker bowl. Set up a basket with meat and vegetables.

Step 7

Step 7
Set the steaming program for 60 minutes. It may be called differently depending on the multicooker model. The time indicated is approximate, as it will depend on the power and operating characteristics of your device. Read more about this in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe. Cook the dish until the end signal. You can also cook turkey with vegetables in a steamer. You can even build a steamer from a saucepan and a colander.
