Basic:

Onion (Take white onion) 1 pc
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Honey 2 tbsp
Mustard (ready-made regular mustard) 2 tbsp
Soy sauce 100 ml
Duck (I have a carcass weighing 2.5 kg) 2.5 kg

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake a juicy duck in foil? Prepare your food. I have a duck carcass weighing 2.5 kg. Wash the bird thoroughly and dry it with paper towels. Take white onions, regular mustard. Before use, you can tar the bird to remove feathers and hairs.

Step 2

Step 2
Prepare the marinade. To do this, mix honey, mustard, and soy sauce in a deep bowl. Add pepper and salt to taste, as soy sauce itself is quite salty. Taste the marinade while cooking so as not to overdo it with ingredients. Vary the degree of saltiness and sweetness to suit your tastes.

Step 3

Step 3
Place the prepared carcass in a bowl with the marinade and rub thoroughly inside and out. Cover the bowl with cling film and put it in the refrigerator for 5 hours, let the duck marinate well.

Step 4

Step 4
Before baking, turn on the oven to warm up to 150 degrees. Peel and cut the onion into half rings.

Step 5

Step 5
Cover the baking sheet in which we will bake with two layers of foil and place the marinated duck on top.

Step 6

Step 6
Stuff the bird carcass with onions, it will make the duck meat even more tender.

Step 7

Step 7
Wrap the duck well in foil. Place the pan in a preheated oven for 1-3 hours. Attention! Focus on your oven! Be careful not to burn the meat. Be sure to check it periodically. You can also unwrap the foil, especially if you are cooking for the first time. Different ovens bake a duck from one to three hours.

Step 8

Step 8
It took me 3 hours. After 3 hours (for you it may be 1 hour!) Remove the baking sheet and, very carefully, so as not to burn yourself, cut the foil on top. Place the pan in the oven for another 15 minutes until the bird browns on top.

Step 9

Step 9
Our duck is ready, the aroma is amazing! We throw out the onion from the belly, it fulfilled its role and made the meat very tender. Place the bird on a beautiful dish, garnish with fresh vegetables and bon appetit!
