Oven-Baked Foil-Wrapped Beef Roast

In foil, the beef becomes soft and very juicy. The degree of doneness of the roast beef can be adjusted to your taste. I donʼt like rare meat, just like I donʼt like it medium rare. I like meat cooked to perfection.

Basic:

Olive oil 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Cilantro, coriander (ground) 1 tsp
Beef (pulp) 800 g
Mint (dried) 1 tsp
Oregano dry 1 tsp

How to bake a piece of beef in the oven in foil? Prepare your ingredients. To cook beef we will need: beef pulp in one large piece, preferably without hard veins (I have roast beef); olive oil; dried seasonings: oregano, mint and ground coriander; ground black pepper and salt.

Rinse the beef pulp and dry it. Rub the meat with olive oil, dried herbs, salt and pepper. Leave to marinate for 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Place the meat on a double sheet of foil. Pour the remaining olive oil from the marinade on top. You can heat a little olive oil in a saucepan and fry the meat on all sides until golden brown. I didn’t do this because I wanted tender beef without a fried crust.

Carefully wrap the beef in a double sheet of foil and place on a baking sheet or baking dish.

Place the meat in an oven preheated to 160°C and bake for about 1 hour. It took me about 25 minutes more because I didnʼt brown the meat before baking. You can unwrap the beef and put it back in the oven for 20 minutes to get a crispy crust. But in this case, it is very easy to dry out the meat, especially if the piece itself is not very thick.

Remove the beef from the oven and place on a platter. Serve the meat with any sauce. I served with a mint basil sauce made from olive oil and peanuts (can substitute pine nuts). Bon appetit!
