Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make minced salmon cutlets? Prepare your food. You can use ready-made minced meat or make it yourself. I used fillet that was pre-cleaned from skin and bones. You can also make your own breadcrumbs from dried bread.

Step 2

Step 2
Soak white bread in milk until it softens well. It’s better to take a slightly stale loaf or white bread — it will better absorb and then retain the liquid, which will make the cutlets more juicy.

Step 3

Step 3
Wash the pre-peeled onions and chop them randomly, not too coarsely.

Step 4

Step 4
Place the chopped onion and the bread, squeezed out of excess liquid, into a blender.

Step 5

Step 5
Grind everything until smooth.

Step 6

Step 6
Cut the salmon fillet into pieces and place in a blender.

Step 7

Step 7
Grind the fish fillet until you obtain a homogeneous, smooth mass. You can pass the fillet through a meat grinder, but using a blender will make the minced meat more elastic and soft.

Step 8

Step 8
To prepare minced meat, take a convenient wide container. Combine minced fish, chopped onion and loaf, beat in the egg and add salt. You can add any spices as desired and to your taste.

Step 9

Step 9
Mix everything well until smooth. The minced meat turns out to be quite viscous and sticks to your hands. Therefore, it will be convenient to form cutlets with your hands dipped in water.

Step 10

Step 10
Form the minced meat into a cutlet of the desired shape and size.

Step 11

Step 11
Bread the cutlet on both sides with breadcrumbs.

Step 12

Step 12
Heat a little vegetable oil in a frying pan and place the neatly formed cutlets. Fry the cutlets over moderately high heat until golden brown on one side.

Step 13

Step 13
Turn the cutlets over and fry the other side in the same way. Thanks to frying, all the juices will be sealed inside the cutlets, which will make them more juicy and tasty.

Step 14

Step 14
Cover the bottom of the pan with foil and place the fried cutlets.

Step 15

Step 15
Bake the fish cutlets until cooked in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 20 minutes.

Step 16

Step 16
Serve the salmon cutlets hot with a side dish of potatoes, cereals, and stewed vegetables. Supplement with fresh herbs. Bon appetit!
