Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake minced beef cutlets in the oven? Prepare your food. Minced meat is suitable both store-bought and homemade, made independently. For juiciness, you can add a little lard to it, I didn’t do that, I have pure minced beef. Take stale bread.

Step 2

Step 2
Cut the crusts off the bread, crumble it into a bowl and pour milk over it. I mashed it further with a fork. Leave the bread for about 5 minutes so that it is properly soaked. Bread is added to cutlets so that it absorbs the juice released from the meat. Thanks to this, the cutlets will remain juicy. Take stale bread; fresh bread doesn’t absorb well. A loaf, a regular white one, or a simple bun will do.

Step 3

Step 3
While the bread is soaking, take a bowl and place the ground beef in it. Peel the onion and grate it on a medium grater. Add the grated onion to the minced meat; I grated it directly into the bowl.

Step 4

Step 4
Meanwhile, the bread has soaked well, squeeze it thoroughly and add to the minced meat. Salt and pepper the minced meat. I only use ground black pepper, but you can add any spices you like.

Step 5

Step 5
Mix the minced meat thoroughly, you can do this directly with your hands, this way you will better feel its consistency. For juiciness, I poured a little ice water into it, about 50 ml. The minced meat will be ready when it becomes completely homogeneous.

Step 6

Step 6
Take a suitable baking dish and grease its bottom with vegetable oil. I lined the pan with foil and greased it. This will make it easier to wash the mold later. Form the minced meat into round patties and place them in the pan.

Step 7

Step 7
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Bake the cutlets for 40 to 60 minutes, they should become golden brown. My cutlets did not want to brown for a long time, I increased the temperature to 200°C and kept them in the oven for an hour. You focus on your oven.

Step 8

Step 8
Remove the finished cutlets from the oven and serve with any side dish and vegetables. Bon appetit!
