Easy & Delicious Orange Muffins

Made from simple ingredients, very tasty, very easy! The orange muffins are still baking in the oven, and the aroma is amazing! It will inevitably work up an appetite! Lush, tender, easy to make and very short. No more than an hour, and you will set the table for a delicious tea party!

Ingredients (12 portions)

Basic:

Sugar 120 g
Wheat flour 240 g
Butter (soft) 150 g
Oranges (large) 1 pc
Eggs 3 pc
Baking powder 2 tsp
Vanilla sugar 10 g

How to bake orange cupcakes? Measure out the required ingredients. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance so that it softens at room temperature. Choose a large, juicy, sweet orange.

Mix flour with baking powder and sift into a large, wide bowl. Sifting will saturate the flour with oxygen, and the baked goods will be more fluffy.

Wash the orange and dry it. Using a grater, remove the zest from the orange (just the thin orange layer). Squeeze the juice out of the orange. You can do this using a citrus juicer or manually. I got 65 ml of juice.

Combine soft butter with sugar and vanilla sugar. Vanillin can be used instead of vanilla sugar.

Beat everything with a mixer until a fluffy, light mass.

Beat the eggs into the butter mixture, one at a time, beating well after each.

Add each subsequent egg only after the previous one is completely mixed into the resulting mass.

Add orange zest and juice and mix well.

Add the flour sifted with baking powder and mix thoroughly until the lumps disappear.

The dough is viscous, homogeneous, with the consistency of thick sour cream.

Divide the batter into muffin tins. Fill the pans 2/3 full as the cupcakes will rise during baking.

Bake orange muffins in an oven preheated to 180C for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Check readiness with a wooden skewer. If it comes out dry from the middle of the cake, the cake is ready. Cooking time may vary as it depends on the operating characteristics of your oven. I made 12 small cupcakes.

Cool the cupcakes and serve. If desired, you can dust the cupcakes with powdered sugar before serving. Bon appetit!
