Rye and Onion Buns: Light, Airy, and Aromatic Delights

Light, airy, very aromatic and delicious! Dough buns with rye flour and onions are my next experiment — I had rye flour in the cupboard and needed to find a use for it! But rye flour itself is heavy (remember black bread), what kind of buns are there... Rye flour dough is best made with the addition of regular wheat flour (in this recipe 1:1). I must say that they made me very, very happy and I will definitely cook from them again and again!

We put the buns in the oven at the minimum temperature, if the oven is gas, like mine, we leave the door ajar, because after all, it does not allow us to achieve a temperature of 50-60 degrees, like in an electric one. Leave the buns to proof for 15-20 minutes

Step 15

Step 15
Then close and bake them at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes

Step 16

Step 16
We take our fragrant golden buns out of the oven and leave them to cool.

Step 17

Step 17
The aroma of the buns is simply amazing — most likely your household has already caught up)

Step 18

Step 18
And this is a cross-sectional photo — you can see how airy and porous they are! Bon appetit!
