Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make Turkish buns with butter? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. First, prepare the yeast dough. Dissolve sugar and yeast in warm milk; the milk must be warm and not scalding, otherwise the yeast in it will die. Leave the milk-yeast mixture for 10-15 minutes.

Step 2

Step 2
During this time, a foamy cap should form on the yeast. If this does not happen, then the yeast will have to be replaced.

Step 3

Step 3
Add the remaining warm milk and salt to the yeast. Mix everything until smooth.

Step 4

Step 4
Sift 500 g of flour into the yeast mixture. Knead into a sticky dough. Thanks to sifting, the flour will be saturated with oxygen, and the finished buns will turn out airier and fluffier.

Step 5

Step 5
Add vegetable oil and mix it well into the dough. It will no longer be so sticky.

Step 6

Step 6
Add the remaining flour in parts and finally knead the dough. Depending on the quality of flour, you may need a little more or a little less. You can read more about flour and its properties in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Form the dough into a ball.

Step 7

Step 7
Cover the bowl with the dough with a napkin or cover with cling film and leave in a warm place for an hour and a half.

Step 8

Step 8
Melt the butter in a water bath or in the microwave and cool to room temperature.

Step 9

Step 9
Punch down the risen dough and divide the dough into small pieces. Make a small thin cake from each piece.

Step 10

Step 10
Brush the flatbread with melted butter.

Step 11

Step 11
Roll the flatbread into a roll.

Step 12

Step 12
Stretch it a little in length, twist it into a spiral and connect both ends, forming a circle. Make the same blanks from the entire dough.

Step 13

Step 13
Beat the egg for brushing with a fork, whisk or silicone brush in a small bowl.

Step 14

Step 14
Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment. You can choose the right parchment paper by reading a separate article, the link is at the end of the recipe. Leave the buns for 10-15 minutes, then brush them with beaten egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds and black cumin. Place the buns in an oven preheated to 180° for 20-25 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

Step 15

Step 15
Remove the finished buns from the oven, cool slightly and serve. Enjoy your tea!
