Ingredients (2 portions)

Basic:

Salt to taste
Sugar 2 tbsp
Wheat flour 1.5 tbsp
Cocoa (With a slide) 1 tsp
Eggs 1 pc
Vegetable oil 1 tbsp
Baking powder 0.5 tsp
Vanilla sugar 1 tsp
Kefir 1 tbsp

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make a cupcake in a mug with cocoa? You will need very few products. Prepare them. Kefir is suitable for any fat content, oil is refined. Take natural cocoa, without additives; powder like Nesquik will not work. Beat the washed chicken egg into a bowl. Add regular and vanilla sugar. Using a fork, beat the mixture until light bubbles form.

Step 2

Step 2
Then add flour. You can sift it if you are at home, but if you don’t have a sieve at hand, then put it like this. Add cocoa, baking powder and a pinch of salt. I definitely recommend adding salt to any batter, not just muffin batter. Salt acts as a flavor enhancer.

Step 3

Step 3
Next, pour in the remaining liquid ingredients — kefir and vegetable oil. Mix the dough thoroughly with a fork, breaking up any lumps. The dough should be smooth and viscous.

Step 4

Step 4
Grease the bottom of a microwave-safe dish with a drop of sunflower oil. This is convenient to do with a pastry brush. Let me remind you that not all dishes are suitable for use in the microwave! Metal, gold-plated and thin plastic definitely won’t work. If you are not sure whether a particular dish is suitable for the microwave, it would be better not to risk it and bake the cake in ordinary ceramic mugs.

Step 5

Step 5
Pour the batter into your chosen pans, dividing it in half. Bake the cupcakes in the microwave for two minutes at 800 watts. But it is best to focus on a specific microwave oven and its individual characteristics. If after time the dough is still liquid, increase the baking time. Carefully remove the finished cupcakes from the microwave. Donʼt get burned, they are very hot. Eat them warm or cold. Bon appetit!
