Ingredients (8 portions)

Basic:

Salt 0.5 tsp
Sugar 5 tbsp
Wheat flour 4 cup
Vanillin 2 g
Eggs 1 pc
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
Soda 1 tsp
Kefir 250 g

Sift flour with vanilla.

Beat the egg with salt and sugar, add butter. Stir well again. Mix kefir with soda and let stand for 10 minutes.

Combine the egg mixture with kefir and mix.

Add flour little by little and stir. It may take a little less or a little more flour. The dough should not be heavy. If it sticks to your hands a lot, grease it with vegetable oil.

Sprinkle the work surface with flour, roll out the dough to about 2 cm thick. Use molds to cut out shapes. If there are no molds, then use a glass to cut out circles and make cuts on 4 sides, not reaching the middle. During the frying process, flowers will form.

Fry in vegetable oil on both sides, like pancakes. It is especially tasty to eat such crumpets with sour cream, as well as with jams, preserves, and marmalade.
