Festive Cottage Cheese and Berry Pastries

Christmas sweets, just like in the old days. In the old days there was a tradition of caroling at Christmas. The mummers went from house to house, singing holiday songs and good wishes to the owners of the house. For this, the owners presented the carolers with edible gifts. Among them were such carol pies. The dough for carols was made unleavened, which is why these pastries were also called unleavened. I don’t know why, but I was interested in this recipe and wanted to try baking old carols. It is important not to overdry the baked goods, otherwise the carols will turn out too hard.
